Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya's health has shown signs of improvement, according to sources at Alipore's Woodland Hospital, where he has been admitted since last Saturday afternoon.
As of Monday morning, he is responding to calls by turning his neck when called by name. However, his condition remains critical, and he is still on ventilation.
Family sources have revealed that he had been suffering from fever for an extended period. On Friday, he developed breathing difficulties, and his condition worsened on Saturday, leading to his admission to Woodland Hospital through a Green Corridor.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Governor Dr. CV Anand Bose visited him at the hospital and assured the family of all possible assistance. Medical tests have confirmed that he is battling pneumonia. A dedicated team of eight doctors is diligently monitoring and treating his health.
